MotoGP: Pedrosa Breaks Collarbone

INTERMOT 2010: Triumph Thunderbird Storm

The 2011 Triumph Thunderbird Storm is powered by a 1699cc liquid-cooled Parallel Twin engine with a 270 degree firing interval, up from the standard Thunderbirds 1597cc powerplant. Triumph did release a limited edition 1700cc Thunderbird for 2010, but that was merely the regular Thunderbird with the optional big bore upgrade kit included. Triumph claims 98hp at 5200rpm for the Thunderbird Storm, with torque rated at 115 ft-lb. at 2950rpm.

BMW issued a recall on K-series motorcycles from model years 2004-2010 due to a problem with the rear wheel linkage. The bearings of the link lever attached to the rear strut may become corroded under certain environmental conditions. The 2011 BMW R1200R receives an updated boxer engine developed from the HP2 sport. The new 1170cc DOHC engine was added last year to the R1200GS and R1200RT, so its addition to the R1200R comes as no surprise.
