EICMA 2010 Preview: MV Agusta

Will the F3 be a no-show?

By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Oct. 27, 2010
When MV Agusta released pictures of its new F3 in September, it was assumed the three-cylinder sportbike would be unveiled at EICMA. That may not turn out to be the case, however.

The F3 will be an important model for MV Agusta as it will be the first new model introduced after the Italian manufacturer was resold to the Castiglioni family after a brief moment as a Harley-Davidson subsidiary.

MV Agusta trumpeted its return to Italian ownership when the deal was announced in August, and the launch of the F3 at EICMA a year after its older sibling the 2010 MV Agusta F4 was unveiled in Milan seemed to be a logical next step. MV Agusta however is conspicuously absent from the preliminary EICMA press conference schedule, casting doubt as to whether the new 600cc sportbike will be revealed.

MV Agusta released this image of the F3 in September but it remains to be seen if it will appear at EICMA.

MV Agusta does have a stand reserved on the showroom floor, but whether it will be used for the new F3 or only to display existing models remains to be seen.
