Videos pitting motorcycles against cars on the race track aren’t particularly new. It seems every now and then, someone gets the unoriginal idea of filming a race between a shiny new sportbike against a equally shiny and new sports car as if the resulting video will do what the other 823,000 clips on YouTube failed to do and finally settle the matter.

This week’s video features Swedish daredevil Al the Jumper. If you’ve never heard of him, you can probably figure out his schtick just from the name. Al jumps. He’s best known for his videos showing him jumping over moving cars, but this time, Al uses his impressive leaping ability to vault over two sportbikes speeding at him at about 68 mph.

Here on MO, we’re all for getting kids on bikes and learning to ride at an early age but this is not what we had in mind. According to the video description, this kindergarten student had been riding his minibike to school for a couple of weeks before someone finally put a stop to it.

Now approaching its sixth year, The One Motorcycle Show has quickly become a popular event for custom motorcycle builders. But a half-dozen years hasn’t caused the event or its founder, Thor Drake, to take themselves too seriously, as this week’s video attests. Drake and the See See Motor Coffee Co. spoof the custom motorcycle scene (Because sparks make it look … legit!) to promote this year’s show.

The title of this week’s video is “Unbelievably lucky scooter rider”, but if he were truly lucky, his close brush with death wouldn’t have ever happened to begin with. Actually, luck wouldn’t even have factored into the equation if the rider been paying more attention to the traffic in front of him and was more cautious.

We’ve seen a lot of videos of people trying to load their motorcycles onto a truck, often by trying to ride it up a ramp. More often than not, these videos result in a massive fail.

Trying to change your front tire but don’t have a stand to lift your bike? No problem! All you need are the proper tools, a truck, and a friend who’s really good at performing wheelies.

We’ve seen a lot of motorcycle stunt riding videos out there, but scooter stunters are relatively rare. And few are as good as Japanese rider Masaru Abe, the star of this week’s video.

One habit that most motorcyclists pick up is “the wave”: the simple gesture of recognition you give when you encounter another rider approaching. It doesn’t matter if it’s a total stranger, as long as they’re riding on two wheels, you lift your clutch hand and recognize your shared camaraderie.

It’s always a bit disconcerting when you’re riding along and suddenly spy something flying directly towards you. Whether it’s a piece of litter, an insect, or perhaps a piece of gravel falling off a dump truck, the first instinct is to try to dodge, but if you’re moving too fast, you can only hope it’ll leave nothing but a small smear without scratching the paint.

This week’s video is from RNickeyMouse, the YouTube channel best known for its footage of motorcyclists crashing on Mulholland Highway near Malibu, Calif. Instead of yet another lowside on “The Snake,” this video features a rider snatching a GoPro action camera off the ground at full lean through the J Turn.

When these gentlemen set out on their adventure-tourers, we’re pretty sure this wasn’t quite the kind of adventure they had in mind. In this edition of the Weekend Awesome, we watch a rider go up close and personal with a giraffe. Or rather, the giraffe goes up and personal with his BMW 1150 GS.

This edition of the Weekend Awesome comes to us from Russia, land of the dashboard camera. This week’s video features a rider making an ill-timed attempt at a high-speed pass in a small gap, finding himself crashing into the back of a car whose driver decides to change lanes at the exact same time. High speeds and poor decision-making often lead to tragedy, but not in this case.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. A video of a gang of motorcyclists harassing a driver and his girlfriend has gone viral. Another black mark on the reputations of motorcyclists everywhere just because of the actions of a few bad apples, right?
