Weekend Awesome – Scooter Stunter Masaru Abe

We’ve seen a lot of motorcycle stunt riding videos out there, but scooter stunters are relatively rare. And few are as good as Japanese rider Masaru Abe, the star of this week’s video.

Abe’s bag of tricks include performing wheelies while perched on the hand grips, reverse knee dragging and one-handed wheelies with his off-hand gently skimming across the ground. Some of Abe’s best sequences are the ones where he runs the length of the parking lot bouncing on and off the seat, all on one wheel.

As good as the tricks were, let’s also give credit to the video producer, Kuma Films whose cinematography highlighted Abe’s work. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at producing this video.
