Just What You Need?

The bike is just what you need and nothing more. Enough power and speed to challenge your everday highway needs and to tickle your fun factor. The bike is light with a pretty low seat height for a beginner. The 5.3 gallons allows you to go for weeks on a tank. I average in the city about 200 miles b...efore reserve and have max at 57 mpg on the highway at 80 mph. The more upright seat position than a typical crotch rocket makes distance riding rather comfortable. Approaching 3000 miles I have had no problems to date (knock on wood). Maintance is pretty easy. I only have trouble cleaning the air filter because of its' location. Bike is good for someone wanting to ride or need a ease on gas card. Read Full Review

hey guys look the gs5F from what i kmow is a sleek durable and has all the power a 500 needs for a type like this and well.. it has the power u need ...just dont try anything with a gsxr1000 or the 750 but still great bike love it bought one three days ago .02 k's on it after taxes 5067.23 very dec...ent price... just have to wait till the 5 n a half feet of snow is gone lol hope u enjoyed.. happy ventures. Great starter bike. Excellent fuel economy.

This is my first bike. I love it. It is easy to handle. Everything I would need to commute to work and save gas $$$. If you are a beginner then look no further than the Suzuki GS500F. You will have plenty of power and excellent handling. I am a tall big guy 6' and 250 lbs. Fits me just fine. ... Great Starter Bike

My first bike very pleased with it. bought the new 09 for $4900 otd. already have over 2000 miles average 50MPG. true does not have lot of power but more than enough for people who learning to ride. not too many accessories available either, but ride is very comfortable below 95 MPH. it is bit heavy... but i love it. ninja 500 looks from stone age and 250 ninja looks nice but you will get bored very soon + it has only 30 HP wont go over 70MPH well at least safely. yes gs500 is not fuel injected so you have to use choke every time you start but it is not that bad. so far no problems will recommend to all new riders or people who wont to save money on gas. Very Happy So Far

I got my bike in mid December and due to the worst winter weather in decades, I've only been able to put 300 miles on it so far. This is a very good looking, comfortable, sweet handling bike that can be had for a very low price. Is it slow by current sportbike standards? Sure, but it will still bl...ow the doors off most cars. If you want a bike that will outrun a Ferrari look elsewhere. If you want a fun, practical bike for a good price look no further. Read Full Review
