		I purchased a 2005 Suzuki DRZ 400S in 2006 and love it. I wanted to see how the newer version of this bike performed.<br /><br />

THe 2009 release of this venerable platform is available in 2 versions The S which is a true Dual Sport - millennium speak for &quot;enduro&quot;. It has lights, signals, speedo a<span class="simple_review_box" >...</span><span class="expand_review_box" style="display:none;">nd such. It is virtually unchanged from my 05. <br />
<br />
The SM however is a whole different story. It is the best value SM commercially available today. It has oversized Super Bike tires, oversized breaks and Renthal bars. It handling is balanced, power is acceptable for a 400 and even gets 60-70 mpg. THe black color scheme is dominating as well.<br />
<br />
Many riders choose to upgrade and customize their DRZ's as can bee seen on internet sites like ThumperTalk, ADV Rider and Wheeling Cycle Supply.<br />
<br />
For a local commuter and overall fun machine, the DRZ 400SM can't be beat.</span>
