INTERMOT 2010: Cologne Motorcycle Show

New bikes and updates from the 2010 INTERMOT show


The motorcycle industry hits Cologne, Germany for the 2010 edition of INTERMOT, the Intentional Motorcycle, Scooter and Bicycle Fair.

The bienniel trade show is the site of the world premiere of several new production models and concepts.

BMW pulled the wraps off its six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL models, Ducati presented its 2011 superbike and Aprilia celebrated its World Superbike Championship with a special edition RSV4.

Aprilia

Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC SE

Aprilia unveiled a special edition version of the RSV4 featuring technology developed from its WSBK Championship-winning Superbike

BMW

BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL

BMW officially presented its six-cylinder K1600GT and K1600GTL.

Ducati

Ducati 1198SP

Ducati unveiled a new, lighter 1198 with an aluminum tank and slipper clutch.

Honda

2011 Honda CBR1000RR and CBR600RR

Honda is saving its new bikes for the EICMA show but the Japanese manufacturer did present new color options for the CBR1000RR and CBR600RR.

Horex

Horex VR6 Roadster

The resurrected Horex brand presented its VR6 roadster to the public for the very frist time.

KTM

KTM RC8R Track

Homologated to FIM Superstock regulations, the KTM RC8R Track features a number of updates from the base RC8R.

 

KTM 125 Duke

The KTM 125 Duke is targeted at young, entry-level riders. Unfortunately it isn't likely to be brought over to North America.

Suzuki

2011 Suzuki GSR750

Suzuki presented the updated 2011 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, as well as the Europe-only GSR750 naked middleweight.

Triumph

Triumph Speed Triple

Triumph showed off the 2011 Speed Triple featuring an all-new chassis and new angular headlights.

Triumph Thunderbird Storm

Triumph unveils a bigger, blacker, badder version of the Thunderbird.

Yamaha
