Intermot 2014: Cologne Motorcycle Show
The fall motorcycle season kicks off in Cologne, Germany, with the 50th edition of the Intermot show. The biennial showcase rivals EICMA as one of the biggest motorcycle shows in the world with more than 200,000 visitors expected. Several major manufacturers will be revealing new 2015 models at Cologne. BMW has already confirmed it will reveal three models including an updated S1000RR for its home motorcycle show, while its Austrian neighbor KTM has also announced it will present its 1290 Super Adventure. Ducati‘s lengthy teaser campaign for the Scrambler will finally come to a head at Intermot, while Kawasaki’s supercharged Ninja H2 is already an early favorite to be the biggest news of the show. Other brands such as Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Yamaha have already released information on their new Intermot show models, but we wouldn’t be shocked if they have a few surprises in store as well. Motorcycle.com will bring you all of the latest Intermot updates from Germany starting Sept. 30. Keep checking this space throughout Tuesday morning for more 2015 model releases as they happen!

So we should start seeing pictures here by 5 or 6 AM Pacific Time, right?
C’mon MO, don’t let us down!
Victory’s not listed here, so I thought I’d mention their big news since I am a huge Victory geek. They unveiled their 2015 model year line up. It looks exactly like the line up they announced in the US a few months ago until you look at one particular detail:
The Gunner, which wasn’t in the 2014 European line up, will finally be coming to Europe and it will be equipped with ABS. That makes it the first Victory cruiser to feature anti-lock brakes. Obviously this is because the feature will be mandatory in Europe from 2016. So, expect it to be extended to all other models soon. more importantly for yankee readers, expect the feature to be offered as an extra in the United States.
Oh man, I can’t wait to sit on all these new bikes at the Long Beach show!
Super excited about the BMW S1000RR, looks amazing, all the new gizmoz sound awesome. Getting the red with DDC, CC, ABS, and Launch Control. YES! Who is in?
anyone know how to get a discount on tickets? Thanks
If you go to Intermot / Ticketshop, try to use discount code “TOURENFAHRER” and save 4€. Found it in latest newsletter of this german magazine.
