I had a 2006 f650gs and loved it -but oh my god this bike is freaken amazing. At 5'9" the 2009 gs is a perfect fit for me and it's 2000 less than the 800gs. It has 17 less horsepower than the 800 but the new 650 has plenty of power, the balance is perfect and breaking is fine without the foward...

I have had this bike a year now and put 14000 miles on it. completely reliable. accelerates from 70 mph to 90 mph in about 4 seconds.great on highway.60 mpg.fun in twisties. 200+ miles be-
