2007 Yamaha FJR 1300AE
Clutchless in AlabamaBy (I am an Owner) on Nov 19, 2017
I purchased my 2007 FJR 1300AE with less than 3k miles and have since put about 4K miles on it. Love the bike but would opt for the Clutch model. Ive been riding for 40 plus years but this Bike makes you look like a rookie on stopping and starting. One would think that without the clutch this would ... be an easy bike to ride, its just the opposite because Clutch engagement can be intimidating when just trying simple slow maneuvers. I would not recommend this bike for a beginner. The FJR is a wonderful Bike offering all day comfort with power to spare.

I've been riding motorcycles since I was about 5yrs old. Needless to say I've owned a few. I've rode daily for 15 years now & the FJR has it all. Comfort, styling, options, & of coarse plenty speed. I added heated seats, custom Triple tree/risers & a few other minor upgrades I prefer. Out of all ... the bikes I've rode this is top notch. I Will never sell it even if I get another, which might be a newer FJR. Throw on some Michelin 2CT tires & I would put it up against any sport tourer. 9/10 rating
If you're looking for this style bike you can't go wrong with the FJR.

This bike looks bad and is BAD(good that is). A little intimidated by it at first seeing as it does not have a clutch lever. After about 5 min. of riding the comfort level set right in. The adjustable shield is great for the really buggy nights and is simple and quick to operate. The hard bags ... are very spacious as well. I had a little problem with the locking mechanism after the first month of use though. All was good as the local dealer just set me up with new lock tumblers under warranty and no cost to me! BONUS..
Very fast. I have owned a few sport bikes in my day and as I get older I didn't feel comfortable with the really crouched over positioning on the newer models. The FJR is the perfect bike for the the old guy that doesn't want to sacrifice SPEED and styling.
I give this bike a 9 out of 10. Would like to find a few more customizing options for it though. Any thoughts?
