In 1983, Honda’s new two-stroke Triple NS500 was good enough to win Freddie Spencer his first 500cc GP championship. This is not that bike, but it’s damn close. This is the customer version – RS500 – built in Italy and first campaigned by Dario Marchetti.
Bonhams’s is auctioning it off October 15 in Stafford, in the UK. They say you’ll need $40,000. Where’s the petty cash jar, Mildred?
