I fell in love with the looks of the Triumph T100 and bought one without even test riding it, based on the many glowing reviews of this machine online.



I am thrilled with the bike but very impatient to cut 'er loose. While breaking the bike in it is recommended that you stay away from high RPM op...eration, which is where the real power of an OHC engine is.

But the low RPM torque on this bike is higher than on my two previous twins or my four and makes lower RPM rides very enjoyable.

My previous bikes were Hondas because I loved the British styling Honda imitated but preferred Honda's superb engineering. The T100 is a dream come true with it's great looks and top quality engineering.

My favorite riding is on rugged twisting country back roads and the T100 just loves them.

I bought the 2008 instead of the 2009 because I prefer carbs to injectors.

I'd say I couldn't be happier, but I will be happier when I can rev this beautiful engine a few thousand RPM's higher. Read Full Review

The Triumph Bonneville time machine

I've been into motorcycles for over 40 years...owning and riding more than 30 different motorcycles in that time. I rode a 1979 Bonneville back in the early 80s, and loved it, in spite of the vibration, oil leaks, ect. Then I sold it and bought a Japanese bike in the early 80s, because I was getting... tired of the previously mentioned vibration, oil leaks, ect. For the past several years, I've thinking about giving the new Triumphs a try, and last week I was lucky enough to find a 2008 T100 Bonneville, with only 500 miles on it. I bought it, and after riding it all weekend, I couldn't be happier! It's everything I loved about my old Bonneville, with NONE of the warts! As I rode the curvy secondary roads near my home, I found myself grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. It makes me feel 25 years old again! It's smooth, powerful, and handles better than any machine I've ridden. It's reminded me of all the reasons I started riding motorcycles, so many years ago.
To all of the folks at Triumph...THANK YOU, for bringing back what used to be one of the proudest names in motorcycling, and making it even BETTER! Read Full Review

Whata bike!

Great motorcycle. I've been riding for 40 years and this just may be the best bike I've ever owned, ever... I bought an '01 when these reincarnated twins came out and it had some teething problems, but they were resolved. sold it after 26K miles in'08 and bought a used '08 in '10 - it is better than... ever. No cold starting problems and runs better than my '01. And I guess a bonus is that you don't see yourself coming and going on every road you ride.
