Whata bike!
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jul 20, 2011Great motorcycle. I've been riding for 40 years and this just may be the best bike I've ever owned, ever... I bought an '01 when these reincarnated twins came out and it had some teething problems, but they were resolved. sold it after 26K miles in'08 and bought a used '08 in '10 - it is better than ... ever. No cold starting problems and runs better than my '01. And I guess a bonus is that you don't see yourself coming and going on every road you ride. What a great bike - thanks John Bloor and the great people at Triumph Hinckley for making this possible!

The Triumph Bonneville time machine
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 29, 2010I've been into motorcycles for over 40 years...owning and riding more than 30 different motorcycles in that time. I rode a 1979 Bonneville back in the early 80s, and loved it, in spite of the vibration, oil leaks, ect. Then I sold it and bought a Japanese bike in the early 80s, because I was getting ... tired of the previously mentioned vibration, oil leaks, ect. For the past several years, I've thinking about giving the new Triumphs a try, and last week I was lucky enough to find a 2008 T100 Bonneville, with only 500 miles on it. I bought it, and after riding it all weekend, I couldn't be happier! It's everything I loved about my old Bonneville, with NONE of the warts! As I rode the curvy secondary roads near my home, I found myself grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. It makes me feel 25 years old again! It's smooth, powerful, and handles better than any machine I've ridden. It's reminded me of all the reasons I started riding motorcycles, so many years ago.
To all of the folks at Triumph...THANK YOU, for bringing back what used to be one of the proudest names in motorcycling, and making it even BETTER!

True New Classic
By (I am an Owner) on May 02, 2009I fell in love with the looks of the Triumph T100 and bought one without even test riding it, based on the many glowing reviews of this machine online.
I am thrilled with the bike but very impatient to cut 'er loose. While breaking the bike in it is recommended that you stay away from ... high RPM operation, which is where the real power of an OHC engine is.
But the low RPM torque on this bike is higher than on my two previous twins or my four and makes lower RPM rides very enjoyable.
My previous bikes were Hondas because I loved the British styling Honda imitated but preferred Honda's superb engineering. The T100 is a dream come true with it's great looks and top quality engineering.
My favorite riding is on rugged twisting country back roads and the T100 just loves them.
I bought the 2008 instead of the 2009 because I prefer carbs to injectors.
I'd say I couldn't be happier, but I will be happier when I can rev this beautiful engine a few thousand RPM's higher.

T "3-Umph" and all
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Mar 27, 2009At the ripe young age of 49, I am planning the purchase of my first motorcycle.
Say what you will about 'mid-life crisis'...time to do something just for me. It's been a long time.
What to buy????
Thanks to thoughtful folk such as yourselfs and the fact that ... the "bonne" is purhaps the finest looking motorcycle available on the planet; Well, I guess that says it all...It's the t-100 or nothing at all.
I am greatful for the wisdom of the good folk at "Triumph" for continuing the developement of there "modern classics" line of bikes.
I will be taking riding classes this summer and hope to have MY ,Bonneville' by spring of 2010.
By the way, I try to buy american as much as is humanly possible... and I gave "Harley Davidson" products a good hard look. It was a tough call. But this will be the last bike I ever buy and the Bonneville T-100 sings to me.
And heck...if it turns out I don't "fit" the Bonne then I know what my second stop will be.
Just the thought of rollin' down a counrty lane on my bike, on a sunny afternoon...The years are already melting away.
Theanks again....peace.

I have one 3 (3-umph)
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 07, 2008What else can be said. It is what a motorcyle should look like, sound like, Brake like, handle like....I like mine if you couldn't tell.
The bike has great torque (due to 360' Firing order) Starts everytime, and doesn't leak oil. My First experience on a motorcycle - age 5 - was ... a White with Red Bonneville in 1971. The sound and smell I still remember. I looked around a lot - 2years too long really, but April 1, 2008 (April fools day) I had to have it. I added the 10hp Pipes that give noticeable topend, and midrange power.
The Center of Gravity (CofG) is so perfect for in town, and always a place to park --See Film "how to lose a guy in 10 days" Mathew McConaghy says it best while speaking of his Triumph in the film: Easy to park, Fun....and Chicks dig um!!
Always get asked the year, and everyone stops to take a longing look, even motor officiers give the nod! Attracts purists and crotch rocketeers alike and my new mechaniciall genious loves to work on it to keep it running like it still left the shoeroom floor.
Not just a bike, but a stylized time Machine that removes years when you ride and makes all who come in contact young and happy too.
Don't wait, get one before they become so successful and popular the English stop exporting again like they do whenever something becomes fashionable and popular all at the same time!! aka; The Triumph Spitfire, TR 6 etc. etc.
In 20 years, magazines will be extolling these bikes as something worth having, so get one now and be ahead of the curve....

whatabike
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Oct 04, 2008mine is a2005 but is the same bike I can't find any difference other than the shape of the gas tank. Bought new in 2005 been a blast ever since you do not get tired of this bike. Do not ride unless you are willing to talk to people, get thumbs up. explain things at traffic lights, etc. Plenty of ... power (I am 61 and still catch myself doing over 100 mph shh), Have been riding 45 yrs and all I can say is WOW

What Motorcycling is all about
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Sep 22, 2008Grew up on a variety of bikes in the late 70's. THE bike you wanted, but could not afford was the Triumph. Now, 30 years later, the classic bike is back stronger than ever. The Bonne is the bike that everyone looks at, asks about, thinks of when they see you. It is light enough to get around, ... but stout enough to get you there in a hurry. Its nostalgic, high quality, and modern all in one. I have 4000 miles in ten weeks and it feels solid between the knees.
I had looked at other bikes, typical cruisers, sport bikes (cant do the fetal lean), and then saw and test rode the T100 and I knew it was the bike for me. Probably the most customizable stock bike you can find. Everyone has a memory of what a Triumph can do. I have a daily reminder of what I do.
