bullet proof
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 26, 2019This bike keeps going and going, just like the Eveready bunny. I've ridden, double, from upstate NY to Tennessee and back, all over NY, Pennsylvania and then to Maine and back. Through rain, heat and everything in between and have only changed the oils and cleaned it up. It just keeps going. ... Love this scooter!

DISAPOINTED IN SUZUKI
By (I am an Owner) on May 26, 2009I have beautifull C50 limeted edition
it used to ride just as well..
Don't let it get in the rain it will start foling a part... SERIUS!!!
If you are planing to keep a bike for more than one year stay away from SUZUKI..I am sorry i traded BMW for this bike!what a mistake.Suzuki ... does NOT stand behind their product.. If you think you know the best, you are smartest and knows everithing go ahead, but if you like to learn on other peoples mestakes do your self a favor and look for other manufacturer...

Nice bike
By (I am an Owner) on May 12, 2009I bought this bike new in 2008 right before summer.I put about 2000 miles on it riding the oregon coast with a co-worker who rides a Yamaha fjr 1000.For my first street bike it handles really well and I love the low center of gravity. The oem seat could use some attention as you get a little sore ... if you ride more than 150 miles,it helps to hit a few rest stops. On the free way it could use a sixth gear especially over 70mph,but the ergonomices are very comfortable.I put a oem windshield on it and am somewhat dissappointed with that.Going down the freeway is fine but it hinders your view when taking a winding road raised all the way up or down and getting that helmet bobble. The edge of the windshield is rounded and not angle cut so you tend to see the edge of the windshield when cornering.but my biggest problem,(take note Suzuki) are the floorboards are in the wrong place.I've touched the pavement twice on long slow corners and that's a little un-nerving.The floorboards should have been placed at a 45 degree angle forward on the radiator part of the frame,I'm sure other riders who have floorboards feel the same way.I'm currently looking for a used touring bike.If anyone knows of one let me know a bartleyk5613@yahoo.com

2008 Suzuki C50
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 02, 2009I bought this bike last summer and absolutely enjoyed every trip. The power to weight ratio allows you to keep up with the larger bikes. I rode it around Lake Superior last summer and the 2000km trip was fantastic. I bought this bike with windshield and sadlebags already installed and they look great ... on the bike.I haven't riden for 25yrs and the C50 with a lower weight overall then the bigger cubed bikes made it easy to get right back into.
I put on 7000km last summer and over all its a quick, fun, bike and very enjoyable to ride.

Bought New C50 in 2007
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 14, 2009Got it in January of 2008 and put over 10,000 Km on it this year. As it ages it gets even smoother and is an excellent cruiser. I find it very fast off the line and will keep pulling at 140 kph with a load. My wife got tired of being on the back so I bought her an 08 S40 for Christmas. Only disappointment ... is that the VL800 engine needs valve adjustment every 12,000 km and the job takes 4 hours so is about $400. I would have thought a fuel injected modern design would have maintenance free hydraulic valves.
Other than that Suzuki did a wonderful job! Bill McKenzie, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Great alround bike
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 21, 2008I commute daily and have moved from a motard to this cruiser and haven't looked back since. For comfort, ride quality and efficiency this is the best way to go and with all that chrome it looks great.

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 27, 2008My bike is mainly a commuter. As a Scuba instructor and for my regular job, this bike exceeds my expectations; if I am riding 1 hr. each way to the job or heading to the ocean - I am comfortable and the mileage is fantastic.
The bike is very well balanced and handles the corners better ... than expected. I would highly recommend this bike for the regular guy. I enjoy the compliments and look forward to each days riding.

Suzuki C50
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008I bought this bike new this past summer and have really enjoyed it. Most of my travels is back roads doing between 35-50 MPH. The bike handles every cornor and turn with ease and packs plenty of power. Although not in the same league with 1000cc + bikes, it has more than enough power to allow me ... to keep up with the larger bikes. It comes with nice floor boards that makes cruising a joy. If you are considering the puchase of one I would suggest you add on a windshield and bags to make it more complete. The bike is priced very competitively even with those accessories added.
