Husqvarna revealed a new street legal 701 Supermoto, the final production version of the concept model unveiled at last year’s EICMA show.

Moto Guzzi revealed three new California 1400 variants joining the returning Custom and Touring models. Taking the stage at EICMA were the Eldorado (pictured above), the muscle bike styled Audace and the California 1400 Touring Special Edition.

KTM follows up introducing the 1290 Super Adventure R at Intermot last month with the launch of the 1050 Adventure at EICMA this month. Including the 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R, the 2015 1050 Adventure brings KTM’s big-bore, street legal Adventure model count to four.

After one of the lengthiest teaser campaigns in recent memory, Kawasaki has revealed the Ninja H2, the street-legal version of its track-only Ninja H2R. The $25,000 2015 Kawasaki Ninja H2 will be produced in small numbers with dealers accepting deposits up until Dec. 19 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Triumph unveiled four new Tiger 800 variants today at EICMA 2014 – the XR/XRx, and the XC/XCx. The former favor a more road-going bias with occasional light-duty off-roading, while the latter flip the script and prefer dirt to pavement. As standard fitment, all four models receive traction control, ABS and ride-by-wire throttle. XRx and XCx models come fitted with cruise control (the first in its segment) and three riding modes which enable the rider to control throttle response, traction control and switchable ABS. Further, XC models come equipped with WP suspension for greater off-road ability (Showa components adorn XR models). In the engine bay, all four Tigers are powered by the existing 800cc Triple. However, Triumph claim a 17% increase in fuel economy over last year, jumping to 65 mpg vs. 55 mpg. 

The  Triumph Thunderbird is a well-known entity in the company’s motorcycle line, and now, the 2015 Triumph Thunderbird Nightstorm Special Edition brings blacked out styling to the playing field. To get the Nightstorm, you take the Thunderbird’s formidable 1699cc Parallel-Twin engine that delivers a claimed 97 hp and 115 lb-ft of torque wrapped in a stout twin-spine frame and remove as much chrome as possible.

The rumors leading up to EICMA were that Honda would introduce an all-new Africa Twin adventure bike at the Milan Show. Unfortunately, those rumors were only partially true, as Honda revealed prototype it calls the True Adventure.

If a trifecta of Inline-Four-powered sporting motorcycles from  BMW aren’t enough for you, how about bringing the total to match the number of cylinders? Today in Milan, BMW announced the BMW S1000XR, an adventure sport designed to bring a little attitude to the segment.

Two-time reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez was on hand to help Honda reveal the new RC213V-S prototype, a street-legal version of his race bike.

After a brief hiatus, for 2015 BMW is bringing back the sporty F800R. Unveiled today at EICMA 2014, BMW is hoping the F800R appeals to both new and experienced riders alike. 

So, you already like the Ducati Multistrada; now you can switch it to love the Multistrada. How does Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) (for a claimed 160 hp at 9500 rpm and 100 lb-ft of torque at 7500 rpm.), cornering ABS (utilizing Ducati’s Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to factor in lean angle to the ABS function), and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) strike you? Now, add in a redesigned frame with a narrower seat to ease the reach to the ground. Ducati used EICMA 2014 to unveil the latest iteration of its flagship motorcycle, the 1299 Panigale. Featuring a huge 116mm bore and relatively short 60mm stroke, the 1299 actually displaces 1285cc. More importantly, however, it now puts out a whopping 205 hp! We knew there were a couple new R1s coming, we reported about them in our Top 10 Bikes To See At EICMA, and here they officially are: The new YZF-R1 and limited-edition YZF-R1M. Yamaha says the two R1 models will have as big an impact on sportbikes as the original R1 had nearly two decades ago. Hyperbole we’ll examine later, but there’s certainly a lot to be excited about with these new liter class weapons. Electronics is the name of the performance game nowadays and the R1 is awash in electrons. Like Ducati’s Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) reported earlier this morning, and similar in concept to the system first seen on KTM’s 1190 Adventure, Yamaha is now boasting one of its own. The six-axis IMU is responsible for banking-sensitive Traction Control, as well as Slide Control, and Anti-Wheelie Control. The 2015 R1 also boasts a quickshifter, Launch Control, ABS, and a Unified Braking System.
