Last week, American Honda announced a number of models returning for 2024 with no notable changes, save for new color options and some price adjustments. Of course, what caught our eye was the confirmation that the previous-generation CBR600RR was returning to the U.S. for 2024, despite the fact most other major markets are getting a new-and-improved version.

Kawasaki announced it is bringing its Ninja 7 and Z7 Hybrid models to the U.S., bringing the world’s first mass-produced “strong hybrid” motorcycles to America. Both models are available immediately at American Kawasaki dealerships, each priced at $12,499.

Confirming our initial report, Harley-Davidson announced a new CVO Pan America as part of its 2024 range, adding an adventure model to its high-end Custom Vehicle Operations lineup for the first time.

We’re disappointed, but we can’t say we’re entirely surprised to report that the last-generation CBR600RR is returning to the U.S. for the 2024 model year, while the rest of the world gets the updated version announced at EICMA. The older CBR600RR model was one of several returning models confirmed today by American Honda, including the CBR1000RR, but not the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP which was also updated for 2024 for other markets.

It took a couple of months after they were first announced internationally, but the 2024 BMW F 800 GS, F 900 GS, and F 900 GS Adventure have now been confirmed for the U.S. market. The three middleweight adventure bikes are replacing the previous F 750/850 models, and offering a smaller-displacement alternative to the flagship R 1300 GS.

American Ricky Brabec has won the 2024 Dakar Rally after a gruelling 4,950-mile trek across Saudi Arabia. Racing for the Monster Energy Honda Team, Brabec claimed his second victory at Dakar, this time completing it with a time of 51 hours, 30 minutes and 8 seconds plus a 1 minute penalty.

We didn’t have too long to wait, as today, Husqvarna confirmed the updates to the 2024 Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401.
