    I'm writing this review, oddly, on the occasion of selling my 2004 VS 1100 Classic after a few years ownership. It's a great bike. Comfy, great torque, handles nicely, plenty of power. I've enjoyed every minute of riding it. I'm moving "up" to a 2007 VS 1300 mostly to get fuel injection and reduce ...

    My single gripe with the bike is that the configuration means my 6'1" frame doesn't fit perfectly. Well enough, but on long (3+ hour) rides I find I'm too far forward in the seat - perched on more than sitting in the seat - If I were 2" shorter, or the seat 2" longer, I'd be 100% happy.     Great bike! Have had it since it was 6 months old with 1686 miles on it. Now has 16k. Only one significant problem, starter went bad & one way clutch system chewed up. $1000.00 repair at yamaha to never happen again. otherwise the thousands i have spent on it were to add function, performance, and ...
