2004 Suzuki Intruder® 800
Great welcome back into motorcyclingBy (I am an Owner) on Aug 27, 2013
I had been thinking about getting a bike again for my 55th birthday and it got to the point where I couldn't think about anything else! Looked at lots of bikes but when I saw the intruder, it just seemed right. I've always liked the look of a pipe on either side and this 2004 had that and that throaty ... growl just sold me...I hadn't been on a bike in 30+ years but it all came back to me instantly!
I've had her for just over a month and have no complaints except for the backfiring which I understand is because of EPA regulations requiring a leaner mixture. I will adjust the mix as soon as I figure out how.
I would recommend this bike to anyone.

I bought this bike new...and now have 3,000 miles...straight pipes...100LL fuel and I havent found a bike yet that can stay up/off the line with this bike.
Not a cruiser, but will get to 80 in under 5 seconds...no Harley can do that.
...to date have only replaced the jets in carbs to ... accomo straight pipes. Quick and loud.

i own a 1995 intruder, have put 40,000 miles on it and done nothing but replace tires , oil changes, and brake pads. the bike pulls hard for an 800 bike and handles very good at highway speeds.
Love My Guy!!!By (I am an Owner) on Nov 17, 2008
When I turned 45 I decided that there were three things the I wanted to accomplish before I reached the age or 50. Three months after making the statement I was in a class (the only female in the class) for motorcycle safety and learning how to ride. After getting my endorsement, my male friends ... tried to talk me into buying a Harley, but I decided to find a bike that suited my taste and style. I was looking at the Honda Shadow but I walked into a Suzuki dealership and there "HE" was, a Suzuki Intruder. Black and white and looking extremely sexy. I've had dark-chocolate for 2 1/2 years now and have never been so elated about just hitting the road for some me time with the bike.
