Top suspension technicians from the American Motorcyclist Association Superbike series will be providing seminars at a pair of track days this summer, courtesy of Öhlins USA.

Working with The Sportbike Company, the Öhlins Track Lab will be at the Legendary Road America Raceway in Elkhart Lake, Wis. on June 9. The second stop is on July 28 at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio for a Ducati-only session.

Expert technicians will host seminars and discussions on suspension set-up and tuning. Participants will receive a set-up log book to record their key base settings. Öhlins technicians will record adjustments during the course of the track day so riders can see what progress they have made. Riders will be able to try a variety of settings to see how suspension theory translates into practice on their own motorcycle.

“This is an unprecedented opportunity for the most dedicated track enthusiast to learn about their Öhlins Suspension from the very technicians that work on the top racers in the AMA series,” says Öhlins USA President Doug Shaw. “It’s our goal to directly connect with our customers, and for each of those enthusiasts to come away from the event not only with a better handling motorcycle, but a much deeper knowledge in how to set-up and adjust their Öhlins suspension on any motorcycle.”

Participants can register for either Track Lab at http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/ at a cost of US$200 above regular track day fees. Only intermediate and advanced class riders may participate, though Öhlins will provide basic set-up seminars for novice riders. While the focus will be on Öhlins products, motorcycles using suspensions from other companies may also participate.
