55 year-old Hutton, who suffered multiple fractures in one leg, a broken wrist andseveral cuts and scrapes had been on a 100-mile ride for the Guggenheim Motorcycle Club throughsouthern Nevada with other celebrities, including actors Dennis Hopper andJeremy Irons.
Her BMW ran off the highway near Las Vegasand crashed near the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, about 25 miles eastof Las Vegas.
The National Park Service reported that Hutton had been wearing a helmet. However, sources indicate that it was of the open-face variety.
