Roadliner

First imoression when I sat on this bike was, this thing's a beast! The bike in stock confiruration is a work of art. To me it was just what I was looking for, a new vintage looking bike, puts me in mind of an old BMW. Comparing this bike to my last ride, Honda CBR 900RR, the Roadliner is a torque m...onster (2000 - 2200 rpm pulls hard) and handles great. The brakes I felt could be better. I wish the gas tank was an even 4 gals. with the 0.8 still for reserve. Seating is comfortable plenty of room for 6' plus.It has a nice rumble going down the road, not loud enough to annoy the neighborhood. Read Full Review

The Black Beast

I recently purchased a 2009 Roadliner Midnight to replace my BMW R1150RT. I have also owned a 2001 Yamaha Roadstar 1600. The Roadliner has that same (even better) awesome torque that the Roadstar has, but somehow it's much easier to steer and vibrates a lot less. I believe those improvements are ...due to a weight-shift and some counter vibration technology. Another nice improvement over the older Roadstar is the computerized electronic fuel injection, which makes it start smoothly and get a combination of 42 MPG. The Roadliner is gorgeous, like all the Yamaha cruisers, but it's also fun. The roll on is ridiculous. At 2,000 RPM you're going 50 or so, and a 2mm roll throws you backwards. It corners surprisingly well and I felt confident on it starting with the very first ride. The seat is very comfortable. The handlebar position is slightly forward. It doesn't come with luggage or windshield, so think about that when pricing. Read Full Review
