  • Fun Mid size Crusier

My bike is an upgrade from my first bike, which was a Honda Shadow 600. Came fully loaded with the auxillary lighting, windshield, sissy bar and factory - colormatch Hardstreet USA locking saddlebags. It has taken all over New York State and also my daily driver. Bought it used with 7000 on it ...

Only issue I have ever had HAD BEEN the headlight and fuses. Previous owner didn't like how much light the headlight didn't give off, so they installed a hi intensity, hi wattage bulb without changing the wiring or fuse capacity. After I got it, eventually, that burned up the connector after blowing multiple 10 amp fuses. Found out they were running a 110/90 bulb instead of the 60/55 standard. After replacing the connection with a new one and replacing the bulb with factory spec, I was back to good but the dismal lighting that I heard about was back. Even with the auxillary lighting, it left a lot to be desired. My solution was simple. I switched out the bulb to a brighter 60/55. Sylvania makes a bulb that puts out the hi intensity light we all look for without causing issues. It is their Silverstar Hi Intensity Halogen bulb. Its so bright on low beam, it makes my auxillary lights almost yellow. And the hi beam doesn't disappoint either. Hope this helps.

This being my 1st ride I am limited on my knowledge. That being said, riding with a bunch of die hard HD riders, they have nothing but good things to say about it. The front light is crappy but I roll with he high beam on all the time so it's not bad. He regular light should be enough but it doesn't ...

I bought my bike brand new in March of 2011. I have have had nothing but problems since then. It's been to the dealer three times. trying another dealer now. it wants to flood every time you stop to fuel up. they say its because of ethanol boiling in fuels lines, but does the same thing with 100% ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 03, 2009

Bought mine (galaxy blue) in july 08, only have 1200+ miles on it so far. I've owned everything from Harleys to Hondas, from cruiser to crotch rockets and dual purpose...now at my young age of 52, for the price and quality it's hard to beat a Star motorcycle. Only things I've changed on my custom, ...

This is a great all around bike. I purchased mine in octobed 08 and have 1700 miles on so far and they have all been enjoyed. The seats are a little to be desired especially the passenger one. The headlight is somewhat dim also. I purchased the do it yourself ram air kit and also did the baffle ...

be prepared to tackle this issue. the headlight is crap. nothing out there replaces it. waiting for my passing light bar to arrive and hopefully that solves the issue. otherwise next step is to replace the light and bucket.

only issue i have with bike. add ons are... 17x22 memphis ...
