I was going to buy a Honda 1800 vtx. The dealer had a Road Star S sitting on the floor. I asked if I could take a spin. Once off the bike I stopped paper work on the VTX and went for the Road Star. Bought my Star new in late 2007. I have put hard Star bags on it so I can carry things, a Star backrest with luggage rack for my wife, a BacUp backrest for me, and a Memphis Fats windshied. I have to take back what I said about the roadstar that I had owned. The bike ran like a dream the first few months I had it but then the mechanical issues started. After taking the MTC I plopped down $9K ( out the door) for a 2008 Yamaha Road Star S with 3,300 miles on it.
