Had it 2 years still puts a smile on my face
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 22, 2012Purchased march 2010 done 42000 and cannot stop smiling, it really is a great bike. Flawless performance and handles so well. Reliability not an issue no problem with the bike not one. I have spent many thousands on Triumph chrome add on's looks great. I do have to say get the wide beach bars and ... cable extension the bike rides so much better and straightens your back. I have just fitted 5th rear tire, suggest stick with Metzler I get 10,000klm have tried others Dunlop, Avon they just cannot handle the torque average 6,000klm. Do yourself a favor go for a test ride better still buy one.

Very impressed after intial 1300 miles.
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 27, 2010Had the bike 3 weeks and have put about 1300 miles on it. I have always ridden sport bikes or standards and this is my first cruiser. After riding a Harley Dyna Super Glide decided to buy the T-Bird. Triumph did a great job for their first attempt at a big twin cruiser. The T-Bird handles great ... for it size and brakes are far superior to the Harley. Very happy so far, hope it proves to be as reliable as my Speed Triple was.

Excellence
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2010Ridden many over many miles - some are cool standing still... much less so on the move. Others have too much vibe, too little brakes, too much heat ad nauseum.
The Thunderbird though - a 20 mile test ride will have you smiling all the way to your pocketbook and after. It looks cool ... - has great customisation potential, rides well, pulls like a train and is beautifully made.
This is a partner for the road and for life.

Don't want to stop riding
By (I am an Owner) on May 25, 2010Just came home with a new 2010 Triumph Thunderbird, and I didn't want to come home. Been riding for two hours around the city and on back roads and the bike has no flaws. It's fast, it handles well, it stops quickly, and the seat is comfortable. I test road a Harley Sportster 1200 and the Dyna ... Super Glide, but I knew I had to get the Thunderbird as soon as I tested it. I don't plan on giving it up for a long time. The only question is how it will hold up over time, but it certainly feels solid as granite, and the dealer said that they have had no problems with the Thunderbirds so far.

Test Ride
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jan 09, 2010As a new rider, I've been trying to stay on "the beaten path" as far as cruisers are concerned, and never considere Triumph until just a couple of days ago. I ride both a Yamaha Star 950 and a Suzuki Intruder 1400, and having ridden on a 2010 Fat Bob and a Super Glide Custom in my comparison study, ... I have to say the 2010 Thuderbird won me over after a 24 mile ride. It is just a superb motorcycle with awesome acceleration, predictable handling, good stopping power, and cool standard options like a tachometer and 6 gear transmission. I'm getting one!

First time out they got it right!
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 09, 2009If anyone registered their TBird before June 13 please let me know, but I think I may have gotten the first one. Wow! I oredered it sight unseen and traded my Rocket III. Loved the Rocket but it was a handful around town. I am absolutely shocked at how perfect Triumph made this bike on the first ... try. It handles like a 600 sport bike. It's very comfortable, plenty fast for an ex Rocket III Rider, looks great and has all the little amenities already built in. I keep looking for a complaint and all I can bitch about is the sidestand placement for my short legs makes it tough to lift the stand. I've been riding 50 years and ridden just about everything; no Urals but I did ride a Vincent Black Shadow. That said, there isn't a bike on the road that I wolud trade this for. Thank you Triumph!

This may very well be the best new motorcycle in any category for 2010!
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Sep 09, 2009Just brought home a new black Thunderbird after owning a Triumph America for a short while.... Before that I had been riding metric street rockets so the whole cruiser arena was a stretch for me.... The new TBird may technically be a cruiser, but after riding one for a while you might easily start ... to think you are on a somewhat larger version Bonnie or Thrux.. You just have to ride this new TBird long enough to start to push it a bit in the turns and you soon find out this bike is very capable at straight line acceleration, and at pushing a hard line through the twisties. When you decide to chill a bit and just let her roll on down the 2-lane it's a head turner as well as a very comfortable beast to carry you back to the ranch. Way to go Triumph! You hit the sweet spot in my book for an all around great bike with a level of versatility not found up to now in this class of motorcycle......
