Gotta love it for what it is.

This past winter a guy offered to trade me a barely used XP200 for an old Jon boat and 3hp motor I had lying around my back yard. Wasn't really wanting a china bike but figured I nothing to lose seeing I paid 300bucks for that boat and have used it once in 5 yrs. I was pleased to find out after a li...ttle(make that alot) of research that it was basically a DR200se. Since i already have a DR650se it made a nice complement to the growing stable of impracticle vehicles i seem to aquire. Qlink sells the XP200 which is made at the Qinqi factory in china which makes all the suzuki motors of 250cc and under(fallow?). So what your getting is a DR200 engine, frame, suspension, etc but obviosly in a differnt look thanks to fnders, gas tank, seat and farings. So why is it short a couple hp's to the DR. To sell the Qlink at such a low price it makes since that for suzuki to give them that permission they had to lower the performance just a tad. Which is why it has a 28mm carb istead if the DRs 30mm. And must have a milder cam due to the fact that the valve clearences are different in spec. Otherwise as far as I can tell it's solid japanese technology and quality.(knock on wood). Took her out for the maiden voyage and almost giggled at the playbike feel it had to it. Im used to my 650 so it threw me off hitting top gear by the end of my street where i normally hit 2nd. But the more i rode and just accepted it for what it is the more i began to appriciate it. Smooth even power, great front brake, quiet engine, it een has a tach onn it which the DR does not, and tons of gas mileage! Sure it'll do 65mph and seem to have a bit more left but this little bike is happy around 40-45 where the engine just humms along and lets you enjoy the scenery. The gearing is really low but sprocket specilist makes a 16tooth counter shaft sprocket that just arrived but I havent put on yet. Should bring the rrrrrs down to a comfy level and let me cruise at 55 when i need to and still have eough umph to acclerate witth traffic no problem. I don't ride it much, it's more of a weekend guest bike or back up bike but every time i take er out i end up going on and on down the road and really don't want to get off the bike. It's almost more fun to ride a slower bike to it's full potential than it is a faster bike in the confines of the speed limit. Bottom line, Its never gonna win a drag race, and isn't by any means a motorcross machine but everytime i throw a leg over it and take a cruise Im grinning like a special kid that just farted in the tub. The QLINK XP 200 is the Best 200cc Dual Purpose for the Price!

I currently do not own a 2009 QLINK XP 200 but I have done my homework on researching the 200cc Dual Purpose market.



I looked at no name brands, zongshens, suzukis, yamahas, kawasakis hondas, and QLINK.



If you are primarily riding on the roads an having some weekend fun in the woods then the &...lt;a href="http://www.qlinkxp200.com">QLINK XP 200</a> should hold up well. If you are looking to ride primarily off-rooad then the QLINK is probably not the best.
