LEGEND 250
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 18, 2014The last review was by someone who doesn't have a clue. I've had one since 2008. Drove it almost everyday. I now have 20k miles on it. (live in Florida). Here's the low down. It does about 70mph. Very light bike. I changed the oil numerous times in the first 3k miles. The engine is rock ... solid. I had a few electrical problems at about 15k miles. Had to mess with the turn signals. Nothing major. Do not leave it outside. Keep it covered. I left it out for 6 months and had to replace the horn/light control on the handle bar. The shifter lights acted up within 2k miles....no problem. The light worked for everything but 3rd. The turnsignal bulbs are standard american bulbs. You can buy them at autozone. The screws are standard metric. Can get at a hardware store. I'm starting to lose the clutch at 20k miles....no biggy to me. It's slipping a little. This bike has been super reliable with minor problems. Just remember....keep it out of the weather....the electrical is the weak spot....but have not had any major electrical problems. It get's about 60 mpg. Replaced back tire at 15k.

Made in America!
By (I am an Owner) on May 27, 2013First and foremost Qlink is an American cycle manufacturer based in Irving Texas. As previously mentioned, sprockets are the key. 15t front [JTF270], stock is 14t, and 31t rear [JTR279] pushes the top speed over 100mph and drops the rpm near 2k. If you live in an area with a ton of hills, the 32 ... or 33t rear. Stock is 34t. Also dump the o-ring chain and grab a 520 x-link. This will give you greater top end torque with a small sacrifice on low end. Next pick up Jardine or MACs slashcut rumbler exhaust, or saw off the welded muffler and grab a set of glass packs. This will boost you about 5-6hp. Next, pick up a performance carb and rejet, I use #120s. This will add another 2-3hp, then grab a high performance air filter breather assembly. +2-3hp! Now you have a mini-beast at 31hp. For a little over $300 more. My Qlink Legend Chopper has 21k miles and still runs great! Don't listen to the naysayers, they just feel jipped they paid 3 times more for a product with more problems. Also you may consider small rubber washers on your motor mounts, it removes the high rpm vibrations nicely.

I was surprised...
By (I am an Owner) on May 13, 2013First and foremost, it out performs it's counterpart the Honda Rebel. I have put 7k miles on this bike and it runs hard and strong. Service is simple and I can do it on my porch. Everything is easy to get to and adjust. Speed tops out around 85mph at about 7500-8000rpms so riding on the freeway will ... chatter your teeth a bit. Switching out the original sprockets and chain is a must to increase top speed and lower rpms a little, which increases gas mileage a lot. Great bike for beginners and commuters, just don't expect it to out perform a Ninja or GSXR, it was made for around town. Not many people have them so they are a great conversation piece as well! As always, ride safe!
