The 2007 KLR650 continues the 20-plus years of design for the model. That's not a bad thing, either. The bike has been rock-solid reliable recording zero break-down issues with normal maintenance. I've rode bikes since I was 16. I'm 50 now! At one time or another I've rode about all of them. The only issue this one has is it's hieght, but that can be fixed! I've had my KLR since 07 and have about 10,000 miles on it. I can't say anything bad about it. The cheep modifications make it fun to work on and the online resources like even have a how to section. If you want something that will survive after an apocalypse, buy a KLR. Read Full Review
