I have had my Ultra since new. Ride 10-12K miles a years up here in Pennsylvania. This bike has 35K miles on it including trips to Sturgis, Daytona, Laconia under its own power - no trailer queen.

I use Harley services, occasionally clean and light wax. Basic maintenance. Only items changed... were tires (ave 15k) and filters.
I have to say I am very satisfied with the ride, aesthetics, service and dealership support. I will ride another couple years and assume I will resale for 50% or better of original price when I buy my Ultra limited. Read Full Review

06 Geezer Glide

Where do I start with all the problems this piece of crap has given me?

Let me first say I ride my scooter like I stole it! It turned 3 last month and has over 59,000 miles on her already. Most of those miles are on the twisties of Western NC or Iron Butts.



#1When it was 1 month old the s...tereo froze up. Only took 4 weeks for them to order me a new one.

#2 At the 10K service as the service writer was starting the bike he noticed that ignition switch/lock was stiff. But he did not have the part.
A month later he froze in my shed. Yup with the bars in full crank and locked. Of course they had to order the part and they had it for 9 days.

#3 At a year old the light in the new stereo went out. Yup had to order another new stereo but it only took 3 weeks to get it.
When they installed the 2nd replacement stereo they noticed the antenna wire was broken. Yup again they had to order the part.

#4 At 29K miles the transmission link fell off in Laconia during bike week 1100 miles from home. They fixed it in 2 hours. But the next day it was leaking fluid. Had to spend 2 mores day of my vacation at a dealer fixing the fix. While the 2nd repair was being done they replaced the motor mount.

#5 The last day of the warranty I had the whole front part of the tranny linkage replaced.

#6 At 43,000 miles the engine blew 4 months after the warranty ran out.
Out of the goodness of Harley’s heart they provided a new $4500 motor, but I had to pay for fluids and gaskets to the tune of $700 plus!

Now at 59K miles the rear tranny link is going to have to be replaced again and the ignition lock is getting cranky again.

This is my 3rd Harley and probably my last one. I am thinking of keeping the old Geezer and getting a Honda ST1300 to ride as my everyday ride.

But on the plus side I ride me one of cushiest rides out there.
When I crank up the tunes and the throttle for my next Iron Butt it will be on my Geezer Glide.

Tires

Hello everybody my 06 has 77,254 miles on it.As you see I love to ride all the time.I live in indiana and when there is no snow I will be out.So my question is my tires are killing me. I go though 3 back ayear so I am looking to see if there is a better tire I can use but I do ride sun or rain.. Read Full Review

one rad ride

i bought my 06 in oct 09..had 46134 miles..now 2/1/10 it has 49600 had no issues at all,,only money i HAD to spend was gas,,and 1 qt of oil,, everyone you ride with,,wish's they were riding what i have,,,,,
