Awesome machine
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 21, 2013Major comfort if you like to ride long distances and also practical for bouncing around in town on short jaunts. Handles like a touring bike but not as heavy!

2006 Heritage Softail Classic Reveiw .
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 24, 2012To who it may concern . I have owned several Harley Davidsons and I have loved each one for many different things. As far as the report on the 2006 Heritage Softail Classic it is a very great bike and in several years of owning one I never once had to put a wrench near it. I was able too get everything ... back I paid for the bike except 200 dollars after 73000 miles. I have a very close freind who couldnt get Harley to fiance him so he bought a brand new 2012 Victory . After 3000 mile it had a short in a fuseable link and the Lights would not turn on . He was very disapointed . He also works for the department of safety for the state of Ohio as a Supervisor. After that I understood why Harley Davidson has stayed in buisness so long.

Great Ride
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 26, 2012This bike is very comfortable and easy to handle. The ride is smooth and it is easy to log several hundred miles a day. One of the things I like most about it is it's versatility. You get a retro classic style cruiser that truly has touring capabilities. You can easily and quickly change this ... bikes personality by removing the windshield, saddlebags, sissy bar, luggage rack and bitch seat. Most of the time I ride mine fully dressed with the windshield on for longer rides and windshield off for in town cruising. The ride is awesome. I love this model, it truly is a classic. The 2007 model outshines the 2006 because it comes with a 96B motor and a 6 speed transmission. With that said, if you are looking to buy a Heritage in this age group, I would take an '07 over an '06 if the condition and accessories were the same or similar.

like driving a cadilac
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 27, 2011I started on a 1200 sportster, after about a year I went to a heritage softail because there is no vibration that rattles your brain after a couple of hundred miles If you like to ride long distances as i do this is the bike for you (women rider that is)it has a choke i prefer it because it makes ... the motor sound awsesome with the right pipes of course, electronic ignitions just doesnt sound the same plus the heritage looks like a harley the new fiberglass and big front fairings that came popular looks stupid in my opinion my husband has a 2010 road glide everyone loves the look of my bike over his everytime
