Unique
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 29, 2011Unique and little recognized, the 2008 was the ultimate in features on a Roadster, then Harley halted the Roadster model after offering this edition for one year only, as it's specs were so close to the newly introduced 2009 XR "Euro" Sportster. The 2008 had full shocks, fully padded seat, rubber ... mounted 1200cc engine, dual-piston dual front disc brakes, 5.6" clearance, dirt bike style handlebars, 4.5 gallon fuel tank, tachometer, blacked out engine, mag wheels and a distinctive Nike-type swish on the tank.

a perfect standard bike
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 20, 2009This was my first bike, and it was really fantastic. It can do a bit of everything, from twists and turns to cruising for hours. Engine purred perfectly- i left it stock, loved the black engine and wheels, had pacific blue paint on the tank and fenders; color combo really looked good. It handled ... really well with the wide flat handlebar; had a decent lean angle on both sides. It's a really fast bike, too; acceleration was smooth all the way up. Loved this bike. If you're looking for a used bike (they discontinued this model probably to make room for the XR1200) that can do it all, this one is what you want.
