Best Bike I Ever Owned...

I bought a Pacific Blue/Black 08 fxstc and it's awesome. Ran great right out of the box! Its fit, finish and function are way better than the Sportie I had in college. I have since install Rush 2" slip ons, a K&N cleaner and a Fuel Pak. Again all worked great right from the start! Runs... like a bat out of hell!!! Good bottom end and unholy top end!!! Only problem is I can't get fuel at Wal-Mart without drawing a crowd, and girls keep asking me out...crazy but true! It has to be the bike because this doesn't happen when I'm in the F-150. Harley Davidson Sold Out To Kalifornia

Love the bike, I only wish I had more information about the fuel injection before I bought it. To bad it takes two grand to get it to sound like a Harley. I am not into loud pipes but I don't want it to sound like a goldwing either. Harley knows about the high heat problem yet still has not done any...thing to fix it and the owner is stuck with the after market bill to correct it. Read Full Review

Cool Bike For Cruising

This is probably the best cruiser on the road. I haven't noticed the heat problem other claim. Maybe it's because I just a "cool" cruiser! I like the handling, ride, and comfort. Forward controls helped at 6'2" and 300 lbs. Power is there to keep me out of traffic and negotiate h...ills. Purchased on 30 Jun 08 and now have 18K miles and counting. Again the only heating up on my bike are the ladies! And the road. It is worth every $$,$$$.00 because it is HD. Read Full Review

Stop complaining

I do not know why all of you are crying about things you don't like about this bike. Research before you buy. I do not know why you would buy a Harley and keep it stock either. Most who buy a Harley do not keep it stock that is the point. Customize it to your likes. If you want a cookie cutter bike ...that you will keep stock, buy something else.
I have this bike and it is now a total custom, and looks nothing like the stock version. It has been lowered, custom exhaust, custom front forks with a 16 inch tire instead of the ugly skinny front tire. Custom linkage and forward controls, custom paint, custom drag bars made using 2 Craftsman 3/4 wrenches welded to a length of 3/4 hex bar then into 3/4 round bar all finished in chrome. Overall good bike

I had owned two sportsters prior to my purchase of the 2008 Softail Custom. I purchased teh bike in Okinawa Japan while stationed there in the Marine Corps. I have know put two-thousand miles on my bike and wish that I would have never owned a sportster. The ecceleration was the foremost for me. I w...eigh about 250 pounds and the sporster just didnt have it all there, but the 96 cubic inch lets me know it still has control. Its not a heavy bike which allows me the oppurtunity to still lean into a sport turn and the tyle of the bike cathces eyes. I am 6'3" and wish it still had a little more leg room though. You can still purchase aftermarket kits to to do that but with the other $18,000.00 went into the purchase price and as we know there are thousands of stock pipes laying around or in the junk yard so money has to be spent elswhere first.
