Motorcycle festival comes of age
Members of the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, which markets Biketoberfest, are informing value-seeking visitors that they will find Daytona Beach a budget-friendly getaway. With more than 12,000 rooms in the Daytona Beach area starting at $99 there is truly something for everyones budget and style. The event boasts motorcycle events throughout the area and surrounding regions including popular street festivals, charity rides, concerts, expos and other motorcycle-related activities.
Biketoberfest has come a long way, says Janet Kersey, executive vice president/COO for the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, which markets Biketoberfest. We are extremely proud at the success of this award-winning motorcycle festival and how it continues to provide great entertainment for visitors - as well as a huge economic boost for Daytona Beach area businesses.
According to organizers, Biketoberfest visitors will find plenty of great, low-cost entertainment this year. Most biker establishments have no cover charge, and most area attractions, parks and museums are available at a minimal charge.
Three of the events biggest venues, Main Street, Bruce Rossmeyers Destination Daytona and Daytona International Speedway are offering free Biketoberfest parking this year. In addition, the speedway is offering free infield admission during its Fall Cycle Scene motorcycle races. Also at the Speedway, the official attraction of NASCAR.
Established in 1992 with a goal of attracting visitors to the Daytona Beach area during the fall value season, Biketoberfest has quickly grown into one of Americas most recognized motorcycle festivals.
