MX2 World Champion Marvin Musquin will race for KTM in the 2011 and 2012 AMA Supercross and Motocross seasons.

Musquin won the 2009 World Championship for KTM in the MX2 class which features a mix of two-stroke 125cc and four-stroke 250cc bikes. For 2011 and 2012, the French racer will compete in both AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross for the new KTM factory team.

We had the great news this weekend that Marvin is to stay with us for the next two years and ride in the USA so this will be his last season in Europe for the moment - but maybe the beginning of a big future for us in America. America is watching what we are doing in Europe and it was be great to follow the same success story in America, says Beirer. By signing Marvin to ride in the USA KTM is announcing its intention to build up a new structure in the USA. This is our first milestone in a program that is designed to steer us into being real contenders in the US competition. We consider it as a very strong and positive move.

Reigning MX2 World Champion Marvin Musquin will race in the U.S. in 2011 and 2012.

KTM has Mike Alessi and Tommy Searle signed for the 2010 AMA Motocross season. Neither rider was mentioned in the Musquin announcement and rumors have been circulating lately that Alessi and KTM may soon part ways. Beirers comment that Musquins signing for 2011 and 2012 was the teams first milestone is curious as KTM has two riders under contract for 2010.
