Husqvarnas ultra light 4-stroke
At the heart of the TC 250 is a new power plant that Husqvarna describes as ultra light and compact. Husqvarna says the engine, which features four titanium radial valves, weighs in at only 48.5 lbs and is 13% smaller than competing single-cylinder engines.
The Italian manufacturer, which BMW purchased from MV Agusta in 2007, has tested the new Motocross race bike at various venues over the summer.
The new TC 250 is very thin and compact, offering superior handling and responsiveness, says Bartolini.
The TC 250 will be available in limited quantities later this year. Husqvarna is considering it as an entry in the 2009 World Motocross Championship.
