Harley-Davidsonís Kansas City plant employs 800 workers including 675 union members. The 358,000 square foot facility houses the Motor Companyís vehicle and powertrain operations, producing Harley-Davidsonís Sportsters, Dyna and V-Rod models.
Details have not been released, but itís expected the Kansas City workers will have to make similar concessions to what Harley-Davidsonís Wisconsin unions agreed to in Sept. 2010. The Wisconsin agreement included job cuts and allows for a two-tiered system of full time employees and part time ďcasualĒ workers.
The Kansas City unionsí current collective bargaining agreements end in July 2012.
