Erik Buell Racing makes first sale
The Pegasusraceteam.com team will run the two 1190RR-B motorcycles in the European Sound of Thunder Series, along with Buell 1125Rs and XBs. Defending Sound of Thunder Champion Harald Kitsch will ride the 1190RR-B.
We have had great success with the 1125R and XB12R in the last few years, says Thomas Wanner, Pegasusraceteam principal. Now we will expand our program by using the new 1190RR-B.
With the first sale completed, Erik Buells new venture is now fully underway. Erik Buell Racing is licensed by Harley-Davidson to produce race-only sportbikes based on the 1125R.
We are extremely pleased that the Pegasusrace team will be the first team in the world to get the new 1190RR-B. Over the years, Ive been very impressed with every aspect of their organization and I know they will do well, says Buell. Weve been working very hard to develop this bike and get our race shop set up and organized as we begin to showcase the finest race parts and technology we can deliver without restriction.
Sound of Thunder 2010 schedule:
Round 1 + 2: 16.-18. April, Festival of Speed, Eurospeedway Lausitz
Round 3 + 4: 27.-30. May, Ducati Clubraces, TT-Circuit Assen
Round 5 + 6: 24.-27. June, Festival Italia, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
Round 7 + 8: 16.-19. September, Biketoberfest, Festival Italia, Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
