Ducati Concorso deadlines near

Entry for Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio rounds still open
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jun. 25, 2008
The deadlines for entry in the next two rounds of the 2008 Ducati Superbike Concorso are fast approaching.

Entry for the Laguna Seca round will close July 1 while entry for the Mid-Ohio round will continue until July 8. Entry for the final round at Indy will be open until Aug. 21.

Open to all 1972-2008 Ducati Superbikes, the Concorso gives Ducati owners the chance to match their bikes up against each other for prizes in several categories, including the top prize of a trip to Italy to tour the Ducati factory for the best overall Superbike.

A panel of judges, which includes expert Ducati technicians and restorers, select the winners based on originality, emotion, personal appeal, modifications, prior use, beauty and sound.

That's very nice, Mr. Bayliss, but I don't think you're eligible for this competition.
Douglas Frederick and Ann Cederna won the opening round during Daytona Bike week with their restored 1998 Ducati 996 RS while Andrew Randazzo won the online round with his Ducati 748.

Ducatisti may enter their bikes at http://www.ducatisuperbikeconcorso.com/. Fifteen to 25 entries will be selected to compete at each round. Laguna Seca entrants will receive a free ticket to the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix for AMA Superbike and MotoGP racing July 18-20 at the Monterey, Calif. track while Mid-Ohio entrants will be invited to the Aug. 1-3 AMA Superbike race at the Lexington, Ohio circuit. All selected entrants will also receive a special gift bag.
