More FUN and faster than my Harley FXSTD
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 20, 2015Bought my all Black 2006 FZ-06 with Street fighter Naked, used with 8500 miles. It was my first standard/sport-bike and I am not disappointed one bit! I really enjoy riding it as much as I can. It looks great, handles very well, it is more than fast enough for me and the accelaration is excellent ... and get on it and its wheelie time in 1st 2nd and maybe 3rd....I have being riding for 6 months now and did take the MSF class and I have been owned and rode the following bikes....1988 XLH Sportster Hugger, 2005 Yamaha VStar650 Classic, 2010 Yamaha Vstar 250cc, Suzuki GW250 2013, 2000 Harley Deuce 1550cc 96ci FXSTD and this bike is more nimble, and the most fun to ride of all of them. I recommend it , you can pick a good one up for under $4000 !

Great Tourer and for sport
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 04, 2008I own an FZ6 and its true that it lacks in instant punch and no mid range but I really like the bike because its comfortable, great for long distance, and alot of power to get you up to speed and play with the other sport bikes. You can buy aftermarket parts online and from England where the bike ... is really popularand its worth doing.

Another bike -
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 23, 2008I ride an FZ6 - I'm also 5'5" and on the search for the replacement of my Yamaha Seca II, which is 12 years old and still my favorite bike.
The FZ6 is a fun bike to drive, lots of power when I need it, very tourable - I strap a Wolfman Beta Bag on the back and away I go! It's fun on the ... twisties of southeastern Ohio, great fun driving through the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire and putting my nose to the wind on the freeway.
When I get to a stop or need to move the bike, I have issues - when are the manufacturers going to make a sport tourer that isn't for a gorilla man with long legs and arms???? I've had the bike apart so many times to replace signals and other parts I can do it with my eyes closed. Every time I drop it, it's a slow speed issue or trying to move the bike.
Love riding the bike, HATE it at a standstill. (Ok, why am I at a standstill anyways??)
