LEMON
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 11, 2011I think your the lemon mate.
Had my 2008 S83 since new and it has been absolutely brilliant in every way.As a matter of fact a mate of mine liked it so much he went a bought one also. For your brake linings to pack up like that you obviously don't know how to ride a bike, you must have the ... brakes on all the time. You must have purchased the bike in the wrong country the ones in new zealand are great.

lemon
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 03, 2010I bought the S83 brand new in April 09,Its been a lemon from the beginning,I will make this short as possible, The first day i picked it up the battery was defective and i got stuck out of town for 4 extra hours while looking for a boost,The fuel pump quit 2 weeks after that,And i had to get it towed ... home on a flatbed, and they wont pay for it or give you anything for your inconvenience, Then the second fuel pump quit, a few weeks later,The revised and # 3 is working so far,The idle speed changes with the wind, this problem has not been fixed yet,It would sometimes backfire up the front carb and stall the engine in the middle of an intersection that is fun!and you would have to use the choke, even on a warm day, they cleaned the carbs and i think it might be OK now,the tach guts are loose inside, a new one was ordered, 2 weeks ago, but hasn't shown up yet,But the worst part is the brakes, the back pads are down to metal at just 8000 klms and im not hard on the brakes,Its like trying to get blood out of a stone to get any resolve with Suzuki canada about the brakes, The rep authorized front pads but not rear pads which does not make sense because it was the rear that was worse, then they told me i had 20% brake lining left on the left rear pad,I heard growling at the back rotor driving home and next morning pulled the pads out and the rotor was actually eating into the pad backing plate, no lining left! the warranty runs out in about 1 week,DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE! if you want anymore info email me, davepilby@yahoo.ca
