GREAT BIKE!
By (I am an Owner) on May 13, 2011I am 48yrs old and have owned all types and brands of motorcycles in my 32yrs of riding. In my latest addition I bought a 2002 1100C Shadow in 2008 and must say I should of bought it sooner! Very beautiful bike, very low maintinance, comfortable ride, and plenty of smooth power to hang with my Harley ... buddies all day long! It might not hold its resale value as a Harley, But look how much a comparable Harley cost in the first place! Engineering and Quality is there and there is plenty of aftermarket parts to personalize your own.For the budget minded in todays economy the Shadow 1100C is a very nice riding platform to get out there and ride!

not bad...
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 13, 2009This is my 3rd Shadow and I've had no problems with any of them. It is very dependable, has great styling and plenty of power for highway cruising and around town commutes. I wish the seat height were a little lower and the right side foot peg a little longer but at 6'-1" is still ver comfortable ... even on long rides. A sixth gear would be nice for highway speeds but overall, the best bike for the buck I've ever owned!

Honda Shadow
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 18, 2009This is my first real large size bike, I'm 6'2" 185 and I find to be a comfortable bike, I took it from CO springs to AZ over the summer and I only wish I had another gear...but it isn't that big deal since I was doing average of 90, and I also wish I had a little more room to stretch my legs out ... even with forward controls. I get around 45mpg with aftermarket straight pipes that make it sound good for a Honda. Vibration isn't that bad, ALLOT better then some Harley's. I rode a Harley Fatbob the other day and it was little more comfortable, but had allot more vibration especially at idle and even with the 96 engine my bike felt faster.

Nice Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 19, 2008I find the 1100 Spirit to be a good highway bike. It seems light and nimble. The throttle response is good. It gets about 55 mpg on the highway at 70 mph. I determined, in its stock configuration, it will out-perform nearly all stock Harleys. My Harley-owning friends like my Honda. It also vibrates ... less than all of the Harleys I rode when shopping for a large bike.

Honda 1100 Shadow Spirit
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 17, 2008I'm 62 years old with a bad back. The Showdow Spirit shakes and vibrates a little to much for me. The bike is of a 1980s vintage and is no longer being manufactured with is probably a good thing.
