2009 BMW R 1200 RT

This bike is everything you could want in a bike... comfort, performance, reliability, and a combination of beauty and function. Since purchasing this bike one year ago, I have sold my Triumph Speed Triple, my HD Heritage, and my HD Ultra-Classic. This is now my only bike. I can take in on a 4000-mile ... road trip or I can load it in the trailer and do a track day. If you're looking for a bike, I highly recommend looking at any RT.

This is by far the most refined and comfortable of all the RT's so far. I've owned the R100RT,and the R1150RT and the 1200 is light years ahaed in any category to be discussed.Handling is remarkable,brakes are the best in the industry,engine is no longer underpowered,and the flickability for a bike ... of this touring capability and size is unreal.By far the best all around sport tourer in the business.

I bought my R 1200 in late summer and love it. It is like riding on a cloud. The cruise control is fantatic handling is amazing. Can't wait for spring to start long distant touring.

Alps tour over H-D on recommendation of the tour company.

Surprised at the comfort (riding two up), handling and overall performance. We had plenty of narrow twisties and hairpen turns and all the while my wife was never nervous (where ... on my H-D Road Glide she would be clinging on). Cornering and acceleration impressive. Brakes much more responsive than H-D (I own two H-Ds and often rent them on trips).

Upon return she had no problem with me trading one H-D for the RT.
