I bought mine nearly new and have only done 2000kms, mostly dirt road and track. love it but for the crap seat. i am 6.1' and i would need to put bar risers to ride standing which is annoying in some situations. • BMW F800GS is Great!
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 19, 2010

I needed a bike that's not as heavy and expensive as the 1200GS, but can handle long commutes, heavy traffic, breakfast runs, gravel roads, playing etc.

I added a full Remus system to get some extra oomph and loving it! The seat's a bit hard, but I ordered a butt-buffer to sort that out.

While it's a bit large for gnarly single track, it's quite capable off road and yet can still tick off miles on the pavement quite well.

It has plenty of power, corners and handles quite well and most importantly, it's an absolute BLAST to ride!

I have owned one of these and the very identical 650 since mid Aug of 08. I am 6-1 and in the 190lb range. These bikes, for the money is some what lame. No ajustable forks? pipes hang too low (for serious off road), I dented the pipes on the 650 already. None ajustable rear brake pedal. There are ...
