Hey guys help me out here. I have put three years on a Honda CR 125 and took the MSF course and also have a year and 2500 miles on a V-Star 1100 custom I have. I want to trade up to a sporty touring bike. The commute is 60 miles a day in Washington DC stop and go traffic. Please give advice.
Thanks
MikeFor reliability, we'd have to say the Yamaha, and it's a staff favorite. You can't go wrong with it. But the Ducatis have personality in abundance, so it's a tough call that depends on how much money you have, and how willing you are to part with it. If you've got a lot and don't mind spending it, the Duck might be for you. And, while comfort is 100% relative to the individual, two of the staff here swear by the FJR's ergonomics, while another would rather ride an ST4 than any other sport tourer... Not a lot of help, eh? The point: Motorcycling is really individual, your best bet is to go to a big rally and testride both bikes, chances are after only a couple miles you'll know which is for you.
