Fashion Question - What Color Tires to Wear?

I've not quite fully grasped the proper wear of the fringed/plated/velour arm chaps, and am highly vexed about my making a fashion faux pas at the next big gathering.Now, Tomahawk tires are available in the U.S. in seven (including Black) colors! ( cycletires.com)
What is the fashion-conscious motorcyclist to do? Do you match the tires to the bikes paint, or to the leathers, or perhaps the helmet!!!?
And, in the off chance I ever take the bike off the trailer, how does one clean the things?
