Edelweiss offers Ducati Multistrada tours

Ducati Travel Experience World program includes four journeys

Edelweiss Bike Travel is offering a new series of tours for 2010 with the Ducati Multistrada 1200.

The Ducati Travel Experience World travel program includes four separate destinations, Europe, Africa, Australia and the U.S.A. All four tours include stretches of on- and off-road riding, giving riders the chance to make use of the Multistradas four riding set-ups.

The July 17-28 American tour is scheduled around the U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. The route runs through the Mojave Desert and the Sierra Nevada and along the Pacific Coast Highway to the Monterey, Calif. Circuit. The route is 1,940 miles long with daily journeys going 125-290 miles. The tour includes stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, the Napa Valley and Yosemite National Park.

The Sept. 19-27 European tour runs through the mountains in northern Italy for the World Superbike round in Imola. The total route totals 1,020 miles with daily rides of 95-175 miles. Highlights include visits to the Ducati museum and factory in Bologna, Italy, and the Ferrari museum in Maranello, Italy.

Starting in southern Spain, the African tour takes riders through deserts and the Atlas Mountains to Morocco. The Spain-Morocco tour runs Oct. 9-24 and travels 1,890 miles with daily journeys of 60- 250 miles. Highlights include visits to Gibraltar and Marrakesh.

The Australian tour runs Oct. 11-23 and is highlighted by the Phillip Island round of the MotoGP Championship. The journey begins in Sydney and includes stops in Melbourne and Canberra. The total route is 1,880 miles long, with daily trips of 90-240 miles.
