Motul Reveals Onirika 2853 Concept
Lubricant manufacturer Motul revealed a concept motorcycle called the Onirika 2853. Originally based off of an MV Agusta Brutale 800, the Onirika was created by Luca Pozzato of Officine GPDesign and presented at the 2016 Verona Motor Bike Expo.
The name Onirika represents dreams and 2853, as in 1000 years after Motul was founded in 1853, represents the future, so the bike itself is a symbol of continuing technological development.
Pozzato retained the MV Agusta Triple engine and the frame but the rest of the Onirika looks completely different. Pozzato combined a lot of bronze-colored highlights with a cast iron gray color to give the Onirika a very mechanical feel. The bronze seat is dimpled with rivets and the fuel cap is shaped like a gear. Running along the tank to the tail is a graphic of various mechanical parts applied using a water transfer printing method called “cubicatura.” Even the brake lines follow the motif, with Pozzato using thick tubing to represent industrial hosing.
After it completes a tour of various motorcycle shows, Motul will auction off the Onirika 2853 to raise money for Motul Corazón, a non-profit foundation that helps underprivileged children.
