Updated: 2014 MV Agusta Dragster 800 Teaser Video
MV Agusta continues to hype its upcoming Dragster model with a new teaser video. The 55-second clip is full of burnouts, wheelies and Metallica guitar riffs, but it does manage to provide some details about the Dragster.
The video reveals upright handlebars, a stubby tail section and a thick rear tire. On the right side is the now-familiar triple-exhaust MV Agusta uses across its three-cylinder lineup. The engine will be the same 798cc Triple as used on the Brutale 800, Rivale and Turismo Veloce which claims peak figures of 123 hp and 62 ft-lb. A “Map” button on the right switchgear and a brief glimpse of the instrument cluster confirm the Dragster will be equipped with MV Agusta’s Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) electronics.

One important detail is the absence of the name “Brutale”. Certification documents from the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board have the new model listed as the “Brutale 800 Dragster”, but the video only refers to it as the “Dragster 800”. The video does not offer a clear shot of the Dragster’s front end, but the out-of-focus views show strong similarities to the Brutale, so a connection remains in styling, if not name.
Keep checking this space for the official reveal of the 2014 MV Agusta Dragster 800, likely to come in the next week or so.
