Laconia Motorcycle Week Celebrating 90 Years In 2013
Laconia Motorcycle Week, “America’s Original Riding Rally,” turns 90 this year! Progressive wants you to celebrate with spectacular routes through the White Mountains and a classic rally experience. From Saturday June 8 through Sunday 16, expect New Hampshire’s biggest party in 90 years, filled with good grub, great gear, and fun rides.
Laconia began in 1916. 2013 marks the event’s 90th year, thanks to seven years missed due to wars and the Great Depression. Entry into Laconia Motorcycle Week is free; event and show fees vary.
Rally Headquarters has a new location, next to the pier on the boardwalk of Lakeside Avenue. Ride by and pick up information on New Hampshire’s most scenic destinations, guided tours, and grab a copy of the 2013 Laconia Rally News.
Kick-Off Laconia Motorcycle Week on Saturday with the 7th Annual Naswa’s Peter Makris Memorial Run. Then head over to Weirs Beach and explore hundreds of vendors, entertainment and check out the beginning of the Biker Build Off in the Lobster Pound Budweiser Platinum Build-Off Tent.
Wrap up Laconia Motorcycle Week on Sunday at US Legends International Racing 90th Annual Loudon Classic at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Be sure to drop by the Hot Leathers tent to get Official Laconia Motorcycle Week gear, and then ride over and hit the Wrap & Roll party at Laconia Harley-Davidson on your way out of town.
“We want to create memories for a lifetime here at Progressive Laconia Motorcycle Week®,” said Rally Director Jennifer Anderson, “We appreciate all those who are coming out to help us celebrate 90 years strong!”
