With the World Superbike championship set to resume again this weekend in Jerez, after a long Coronavirus-induced break since the season opener at Philip Island in February, BMW felt it necessary to tell everyone how it was spending its time in lockdown – and it’s pretty fascinating.

If you’re a fan of 3D printing and motorcycles, we’ve found an ideal project for you. Designed and posted by   Brett Turnage, these plans were developed for a bike-crazy friend and have been released into the wild on Pinshape.com, a 3D-Print file sharing site. Note, Turnage’s two bikes aren’t models to sit on shelves and look pretty. They will produce fully-functional radio-controlled (RC) motorcycles – complete with an animated rider that steers the bikes.

The L.A. Auto Show is, naturally, mostly focused on the realm of four-wheeled vehicles but there was one motorcycle displayed that caught our attention here on MO. Pictured here is the Dagger, a concept bike pairing a 3D-printed frame with a Kawasaki H2 engine.

If you’ve ever been in an airplane then you’re likely familiar with the name Airbus, and while flying metal tubes are what the company is best known for, the Airbus Group has its hands in far more industries than you think. Take the 3D printing world for instance. APWorks, an Airbus Group subsidiary, has been at the forefront of advanced materials and additive layers manufacturing since 2013, producing optimized metal parts for the automotive, aerospace, and robotics industries.
