Comfort and Performance says it all...
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 27, 2009I compared motorcycle for over 12months before I bought this motorcycle. I looked at the Triump Daytona 675, Yamaha R6 08, GSX-R 750, Buell, and the Kawasaki Ninja 600R. Hands down my 08 Yamaha R6S was the best pick. I can ride my bike for over 12hours straight for one. Yes...12hrs straight, none ... stop. Ride, fill, ride, fill, ride, fill, ride, fill, ride, fill, ride, fill, ride. I have had this bike for 14months and have already put 27k miles on it. Still on my third set of tires(Mitchellin Pilot Power). Replaced the spark plugs at 18k. Oil changes every 3k. I know alot of guys that ride and I see their bikes always needing this or that...and they dont even have over 10k on theirs. If you want a compfortable SuperSport bike, fair priced and low maintenance...Yamaha R6S is your ride...

2008 R6s
By (I am an Owner) on May 15, 2009Best bike I've ever owned. awsome looking bike, tons of power, and rides on rails. I plan on holding on to this one for a very long time, and if I ever trade, it will be for a new R6s.

The Great 08
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 09, 2009The bike is one of the best Yamaha has put out. It has comfort, power, flick ability, reliability, and looks. There is a reason why Yamaha is still making it in the U.S. It's the new YZF-600r with better looks, less weight and a second gear that works. It's the 03-04 bike with an 05 remapped ECU. ... It's a proven bike, tried and true.
To the people that gave it a mediocre comfort rating, have you rode any other sport bikes? It has the best comfort you're going to get out of one. If you don't want slight wrist fatigue, sore neck/ back after a long ride, you bought the wrong genre on bike. It will also stay even with the 06-09 R6, face it you're not Rossi. The bikes of today are so true to the race breed, 95% of riders can't extract what the 06-09 or other new bikes have to offer.
